Terms governing HarborPoint Renovations residential improvement services, project scope, payments, scheduling, liability and governing law.
Last updated: June 2026. These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between HarborPoint Renovations (HarborPoint Renovations), operated as an independent sole trader by Ismail Choudhury, and any homeowner who engages HarborPoint Renovations for residential improvement services. By engaging HarborPoint Renovations you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms.
HarborPoint Renovations is an independent sole trader business operated by Ismail Choudhury from 102B Arragon Road, East Ham, London, E6 1QN, United Kingdom. It provides one-time residential improvement services to homeowners across the UK. There are no partners, employees or branch offices.
HarborPoint Renovations provides residential improvement services, including property consultations, room refresh packages, storage and utility enhancement projects, multi-area residential upgrades and bespoke renovation programmes. All services are delivered on a one-time, project-by-project basis. HarborPoint Renovations does not offer subscriptions, memberships, retainers, ongoing maintenance contracts or recurring billing of any kind.
Every project is delivered against a written scope of work, which is shared with you before any work begins. The scope sets out the rooms or areas to be worked on, the sequence of work, the materials and finishes to be used, the agreed timeline, and the agreed price. Work outside the agreed scope is treated as a new project and priced separately.
You engage HarborPoint Renovations by accepting a written proposal in writing — by email reply, signed PDF, or by completing payment for a fixed-price service through the Stripe links on this website. Once accepted, the proposal forms the project agreement, alongside these Terms & Conditions.
Payments for published services are taken securely via Stripe at the point of booking through the buttons shown on this website. For larger bespoke projects, payment may be structured as an initial deposit and one or more milestone payments, set out clearly in the proposal. Card details are processed by Stripe directly; HarborPoint Renovations never sees or stores card numbers.
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). VAT treatment is shown on the proposal and invoice. Payments are due according to the schedule in the proposal. Overdue amounts may pause project work and may incur statutory late-payment interest.
Once a project is accepted and payment is received, a delivery window is confirmed in writing. HarborPoint Renovations works on one project at a time wherever possible, so scheduling commitments are taken seriously. If you need to reschedule, please give as much notice as possible — at least 7 business days where possible — so that another homeowner can be accommodated in your slot.
To enable the project to run smoothly, you agree to:
HarborPoint Renovations agrees to:
Either party may propose changes to the agreed scope during the project. Any change that affects time, materials or price will be documented in a written change note and only proceeds once both parties have agreed in writing. Verbal-only changes are not binding.
Materials and finishes are specified in the written proposal. Where a specified material becomes unavailable, HarborPoint Renovations will propose the closest available alternative and only proceed with your written agreement. Slight variations in natural materials (timber grain, stone veining, fabric weave) are normal and not considered defects.
Projects are delivered against the agreed timeline. Where unforeseen circumstances cause a delay (supplier issues, structural surprises, weather, illness), HarborPoint Renovations will notify you as soon as practical and agree a revised schedule. HarborPoint Renovations will use reasonable endeavours to mitigate the impact of any delay.
At the end of every project I conduct a completion review with you, walking through the agreed scope and confirming each item is delivered. Any in-scope item that needs adjusting is addressed before the project is considered complete. The completion review is confirmed in writing.
Where in-scope defects are identified within a reasonable period after completion, HarborPoint Renovations will return to address them at no additional cost. This does not cover damage caused by misuse, normal wear and tear, alterations by other tradespeople, or events outside HarborPoint Renovations's reasonable control.
HarborPoint Renovations's liability under any project is limited to the total amount paid by you for that project, except where liability cannot be limited by law (for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation). HarborPoint Renovations is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of income, loss of opportunity, or loss of enjoyment.
Neither party will be liable for delays or failures caused by events outside their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, fire, flood, illness, government actions, transport disruption or supplier failures.
Cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms are set out in full in the Refund Policy on this website. The Refund Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
Any drawings, plans, written proposals, photographs and project documentation produced by HarborPoint Renovations remain the intellectual property of HarborPoint Renovations until the project has been paid for in full. After payment, you receive a non-exclusive licence to use the project documentation for your property.
HarborPoint Renovations may take photographs of completed work for portfolio and marketing use. Photographs will not include identifying details of the homeowner. If you prefer that photographs are not used, please let me know in writing before the project starts.
Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public information shared during the project. This obligation continues after the project has ended.
If a dispute arises, both parties agree to attempt to resolve it informally first, in line with the Complaints Procedure on this website. If informal resolution fails, the dispute will be addressed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
HarborPoint Renovations is operated as an independent sole trader. Where these Terms refer to "we", "the team" or "the company", they should be read as references to Ismail Choudhury trading as HarborPoint Renovations.
HarborPoint Renovations may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version applicable to your project is the version published on this website at the date your project proposal is accepted.
